Shelly Bowen, Founder, Red Piggy Press

@shelbow

As a professional writer, content strategist, and entrepreneur, Shelly Bowen puts story first. Story before animation, before interaction, and even before technology.

She launched her career in children’s book publishing at the award-winning publisher Harcourt Brace, where she loved to marry words and pictures to create something truly engaging for kids and adults. Then she followed her heart to the online world, where she has worked in executive positions producing and directing digital experiences for more than 12 years.

Shelly founded Pybop, a content strategy consultancy, in 2008, and began experimenting with mobile content strategy soon thereafter. Red Piggy Press began as a playground for Pybop and quickly transformed into a full-blown, heart-consuming passion.

She will do whatever it takes to create engaging, interactive storybook apps for kids that tackle complex topics, including Culture, Language, Arts, Science, and Social issues. (CLASS … get it?)

@inkling_studio

Tracy Hopcus Jordan is a talented user experience designer. In the last 15 years, as the owner of Inking Studio, she has designed visual systems for some amazing print and interactive projects … though Red Piggy Press might be her favorite. Shh. Don’t tell.

By working within multiple disciplines, her knowledge goes beyond visual design and stems into technology trends, software processes, and development. She’s always looking for emerging interactive technologies and physical spaces for children … and children at heart.
